Our Story
In 1978, New York City artists Sandy Chilewich and Kathy Moskal were looking to infuse some color into their wardrobes. When they started hand-dyeing plain satin flats in a rainbow of jewel tones, friends and family began to demand their own pairs, and HUE was born. With a featured spread in Vogue and a debut at the iconic luxury department store Henri Bendel, HUE quickly established itself as an authority on color that transforms.
